Distress inks + salt

Somewhere on the world wide web I saw someone put salt in wet distress ink. Of course I had to try it out! I made two attempts (because one is never enough for some people):

This one was made with plain old table salt, the tiny grain kind....

... and this one was made with the big flaky fancy kind. 

I prefer the first result. With the the larger flakes it felt like all it did was soak up the ink, nothing much happened on the cardstock itself. On the other hand I had a pinch of lovely blue tinted salt when I was done.
